Hair salons, barber shops and tanning studios can officially reopen in Texas this Friday, a move to stem some of the economic disruption from pandemic-related closings. It comes as one public health model calculates the move could contribute to more than 2,000 additional Texas deaths from the coronavirus in the next few months.
