Commuting between Toulouse and Paris is not really a problem for GA's new boss. It has to be said that this native of Strasbourg did a lot of traveling during his childhood. From Nancy to Paris by way of Lyon, Sébastien Matty changed his place of residence every two years, in line with the career of his father, an enarque and senior civil servant at the Caisse des Dépôts. The youngest of a family of two boys, he acclimatized rather well to these successive exiles. "It's given me a certain adaptability," he admits. Rather gifted for his studies without being very hard-working, Sébastien Matty nevertheless had no vocation. "I just let myself go. I don't ask myself many questions. But I'm never better than when I'm up against the wall. I like to come up against difficulties. That's the way I work," he admits, no doubt drawing his energy from his father's difficult history of building his own business on his own.
