Vitality, the health and life insurance provider, has secured a major relocation in Stockport where it is bringing 1,000 additional staff.
The firm is taking around 45,000 square feet across four floors at 3 Stockport Exchange, moving from its offices on Wellington Road South. The firm already has circa 1,000 staff across the wider Stockport Exchange development.
Those behind the deal say it is the largest office transaction in South Manchester since 2019 and the second biggest Grade A office transaction of the year across Greater Manchester. Regional news title Place North West suggests the deal is for 10 years.
Vitality, which also has London and Bournemouth offices, will move from Vitality House next year to the BREEAM Excellent offices. It joins a host of blue-chip tenants at the Stockport Exchange development including Stagecoach, MusicMagpie and Indurent.
Once complete, the wider site will deliver up to 375,000 square feet of Grade-A office space and 28,000 square feet of commercial floor space. The £145 million scheme is being delivered in partnership by Stockport Council and Muse.
Vitality will start its office fit-out in January ahead of moving in over the summer. Leader of Stockport Council, Councillor Mark Roberts, added: "Vitality’s decision to move into Stockport Exchange is a huge vote of confidence in our town and its future.
