Over the past two years, WeWork has leased more than 500,000 square feet in Southern California's Orange County, making it one of the most active tenants in the market. However, the coworking company has come under hard times with recent investor SoftBank looking to either sell off assets to recoup money, or even back out of the deal entirely following its failed IPO. This comes during the escalating crisis around the coronavirus pandemic and its effect on all aspects of the commercial real estate industry.
